Lesson 1: How Do the Sun, Earth, and Moon Interact?
Vocabulary:
Rotate: turns like a top
Axis: Earth rotates around this imaginary line
Orbit: the path that an object takes around another object in space
Constellation: a group of stars that seems to form a picture in the night sky
Day 1:
Goal: We can master the new vocabulary words!
Day 2: Goal: We can discuss what it means to rotate in space.
Day 3: Goal: We will discover the relationship between the sun and the moon.
Day 4: Goal: We will discover our place in Space

Lesson 2: What Are Moon Phases
Vocabulary:
Moon Phases: the changes in the appearance of the moon's shape.
Full Moon: the full moon is illuminated
New Moon: The phase of the moon when it is in conjunction with the sun and seems to be invisible or only a small crescent is visible
Waning Moon: the moon anytime after the full moon and before the new moon
Waxing Moon: the moon anytime after the new moon and before the full moon
Day 1:
Goal: We can master the new vocabulary words!
Day 2: Goal: We can discuss what it means to to have moon phases.
Day 3: Goal: We can show understanding of the moon phases and important vocabulary.
