Topic 1 Vocabulary:
Place Value - The position of a digit in a number that tells the value of that digit. Millions - The value of the place to the left of the thousands period. Period - A group of 3 digits, separated by a comma, starting from the right . Expanded Form - A number written as a sum of all the values of its digits. Greater Than Symbol - Points away from the greater number or eating the greater number Less Than Symbol - Points toward a smaller number Rounding - The process that determines which multiple of ten (10,100,1000) a number is closest to. Conjecture - Statement that is believed t be true but not proven. 1-4 Continued
